Pretend Play

Mackenzie has a very active imagination. Here she made a "boat" and was rowing her way to China. Not sure why she always picks China, but that is where she always goes on her pretend trips.

6 weeks old

Micah is now six weeks old and growing fast. He does what all babies love to do- eat, sleep, and make dirty diapers! One thing we have noticed is that he is very much a momma's boy, and when Mom isn't holding him he is not happy. You can see by the picture below that he is mad because I made him sit in his chair. He also loves to rock from side to side so I think a swing is going to be a must have. Play time in my bouncy chair-- he actually likes to hit these, but we have to keep them away from big sis Mackenzie who gets a little rough with him when he sits in his chair.

Summer Time Fun

cookies. Mackenzie loves to be in the kitchen, her favorite
T.V. show is 30 minute meals with Rachael Ray.

Rest Time

It was supposed to be rest time. When I got upstairs
the bedroom had been trashed and the girls were doing flips
off the bed. Here Mackenzie is practicing her balance beam.

filled up her cups from the bathroom faucet when
Mom wasn't looking.

The Little Peanut

Micah enjoys taking his naps. He is so tiny we call him a peanut. Goppy and Micah were exhausted after a shopping trip.

Cooling off!

Madeline and Mackenzie were out watering the garden and the trees, and ended up trying to cool off instead. It was about 95 * and it was 7 o'clock in the evening. I think Sissy got more water than the flowers.

Father and Son

Ronnie and Micah spend some time together.
While at the Doctors office both daddy and son fell asleep while we waited to see the Doctor. Micah has regained his birth weight and is now 7 pounds 8 oz.

The First Day of School

Madeline started K-5 today at Faith Christian Academy. She was very excited to be going to school. Little sister, Mackenzie was very upset that she could not go with her, and started to cry. Maddy has 17 kids in her class, and she will be attending school from 8 to 12:30.

Micah Alexander Spivey

Micah Alexander Spivey was born on Friday, August 11th at 1:49 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds 6 oz. and was 20 inches long.


Micah at home Sunday the 13th. We will get more photos up soon, after mommy gets some rest!

Happy Birthday Madeline

Happy 5th Birthday Madeline! Hard to believe you are five, time has gone by so fast. Madeline was very excited to be five, and the first thing she wanted to do was take a shower. She said now that she is five could she take a shower like big people. She also wants to chew gum, because mommy accidently said that when you are five you can chew gum. Mommy wasn't thinking that five was just around the corner! Today we went to Toys R' Us so she could do a little birthday shopping, and then we went out for pizza with Nana and Mackenzie. Madeline is very excited for her brothers arrival, she was hoping that he would come on her birthday, but no such luck. Micah should be here on the 11th, we will keep everyone posted.

President Bush comes to Mission, Texas

On Thursday, August 3rd, President Bush came to Mission, Texas to give a speech. Ron and a couple of guys from work were able to go and sit in the fifth row and listen to President Bush.

Madeline's Birthday Party

Madeline celebrated her fifth birthday party with a few friends at a pottery store called Made By U. Each of the girls were able to pick a piece of pottery and paint it any way they wanted. We also enjoyed a Strawberry Shortcake Cake, which was made by a lady from Church.

Mackenzie painted a turtle, and Madeline painted a unicorn. Each piece of pottery received three coats of paint and then will be placed into an oven and then glazed.

Snake

In the great state of Texas we have many wonderful creatures. This lovely snake was found today as Ron was washing the car. Any ideas what kind it is? And sorry to all the snake lovers, but we killed him.
