Crazy hair and twin day

This week at school they are having different contests. For twin day Madeline and her good friend Camila were twins. Camila's mom bought them matching shirts, and they wore black skirts. Crazy hair day- well we did the best we could- Mackenzie has 6 ponytails in her hair.
Madeline ended up with 9 pony tails in her hair. She was so excited!

Learning to Color

Micah loves to go into Mackenzie's room and play, this morning he sat down at the table and tried to color all by himself.

Mackenzie's financial wisdom.........

The girls wanted to go to a school basketball game last night, but I didn't feel like dragging 3 kids to a game by myself, plus I had no cash on hand. I told them we couldn't go b/c I had no money. Mackenzie said "just go to the money store and buy some." I said money store? Where is that? She said " you know the place we go to and you put that thing (ATM card) in the box and money comes out, that's the money store!" To make them happy we decided to bake homemade chocolate chip cookies and watch the movie Annie. At the end of Annie Madeline said " That's one of those make you cry movies"--- she is so like my mom!

Sleepy boy

We went to a McDonald's play date yesterday since it has been cold and rainy. There were 10 moms and 17 kids. Micah had a blast playing with the big kids. They taught him to run in circles and scream at the top of his lungs. After 2 hours of play it was time for a short nap before picking up the girls at school. He definitely was tired out and needed a longer nap!

GIRL!

The doctor said everything looks good, and it was very evident that it was a girl. Due date is the 27th of June. Though I told my Doctor that the 16th was good for me- ( he will be on vacation in June through the 15th) so we will see.

Tomorrow we will be finding out whether its a boy or girl! Any guesses?! I think it's a girl, but we'll see..................

OH Christmas Tree

It has been about four years since we have had to put up a tree, so we went and bought a artificial one this year. The girls loved to decorate it, and Micah kept saying ooohhhh!

Micah and Mackenzie

Mackenzie walks to the beat of a different drummer~ she got dressed for Church and then decided she needed a baseball hat and sunglasses to go with her Church dress. She wore it in the car, but Mommy insisted that it stay in the car for Church.
Micah has an extremely long torso and his pants never fit him because of his short legs no matter how much we roll them up- often he walks right out of his pants.

All I want for Christmas is.....

My front tooth! Maddy lost her tooth on Friday and the other front tooth will soon be out too. She cracks us up with her new smile and is quite proud to show everyone her missing tooth.

An Early Christmas present

While I was away for the morning, Ron took the girls shopping and he bought them a 10-in-1 game table that is kid size. It has everything from pool, checkers, bowling, ping-pong, and my favorite Foosball. Mackenzie couldn't quite get the hang of it, and ended up getting hit in the face with the stick.

2007 Soccer

The soccer season is finally over~ the girls had a great time and really learned alot. I think we can look forward to them playing again in the spring.

Funny Things the kids have said......

Madeline is learning Ephesians 6:1-4 for school and she was reciting them for us. Here's how she thought it went......Honour thy Father and Mother which is the worst commandment with promise!

And Mackenzie has a "boyfriend" in school. Now we don't condone this or talk about it, but it is so funny because she is such a tomboy. Now she throws a fit about what she is wearing because she doesn't want the boys to laugh at her, I have also caught her putting on my makeup before school. I guess she will be a prissy tomboy!

Mackenzie plays soccer

Mackenzie and her best friend Trista are on the same team, and for the most part run around holding hands and seeing who can be the fastest runner. Kenzie enjoyed the first game, but was disappointed that she didn't make a goal. She is extremely competitive for such a little thing. But for now I think the water breaks were her favorite part!

Maddy plays soccer

Maddy really enjoyed her first game, much more than we thought she would. She was nervous about all the people watching, but quickly got into the game. She and her friend Shanae are the only girls on the 1st and 2nd grade team.

Maddy's team tied and Mackenzie's team won- though Mackenzie doesn't think they won because she didn't make a goal- she doesn't quite get the "team" sport idea.

Soccer Uniforms

Today was the first soccer game. Madeline is #5 on the Hurricanes, and Mackenzie is #5 on the Tigers.
