School 2008-2009

So we have joined the ranks of the homeschool crowd. Our books came in and the girls were really excited. It will be a big change for both of them as they love school, but for now this is the best decision. We will be doing the Abeka DVD program, as I don't want to lose my sanity with four kids underfoot all day!

Big shoes to fill

Micah loves shoes and if you leave them out he will try to put them on.

Micah's new toy

He loves the playground so I finally got him a little slide. It's too hot to play outside so for now it's an indoor toy. Excuse the mess in the background! Whee!
A good spot to watch cartoons
it didn't take him long to figure out how to go up the slide

Let the games begin.....

Another season of soccer has begun. Madeline is on the Killer Bees this time, she is a very fast runner, and really is enjoying playing this year.
Mackenzie is on the Purple Pandas. The coach finally got smart this year and put Mackenzie and her friend Trista in at separate times. Mackenzie also loves to run, and is getting more aggressive. The 4's and 5's are the most fun to watch, most of them have a hard time with running and kicking the ball, but they are great entertainment.
Mackenzie is #3

Dolphin Watch

On Friday we went on a field trip to South Padre Island for a Dolphin Watch tour. We were able to take a boat ride for about an hour and we were really lucky to see quite a few dolphins. Mackenzie really loved the boat ride, and was very excited to eat her lunch on the boat.View from the back of the boat, the water was a little choppy at times, but thankfully it wasn't to warm out.
The only picture I could get of a dolphin
Loving being on the water
Some weird sea life the kids wanted to touch.

Field Trip

We also visited a hands on exhibit where they were able to hold all kinds of strange sea life.

Maddy and the starfish
Mackenzie and the sea cucumber- it looked really gross, but she wanted to hold everything.

Dare Devil

Micah really wanted to play fuse ball, and tried his hardest to get the ball out from the hole. He later fell off and hopefully learned his lesson.
