Love of purses

I am pretty sure that girls are just born with a love of purses. Morgan found this purse in the dress up box and she immediately put in on her arm and carried everywhere! She is a true girl~

It all goes to show you the truth is better told upfront, and it never pays to lie, no matter how much you think you are helping someone. The story takes place in West Texas and has many different characters. There is Mary Jane- the roommate of Shannon who is in big trouble. The mystery man who is after Shannon and has Mary Jane captive. Jack MacGowan, the man who once humiliated Shannon and now has a daughter who is identical to Shannon own little girl. And then there is Shannon, a woman of distrust who has made it through life on her own, can she put the past behind her and let Jack into her heart? The book has many twists and turns has a great story, and has a surprise ending. I would love to have read her first book, and can’t wait to read more of her books.

Book Review- A Man of His Word

I have recently signed up with Thomas Nelson publishers to do book reviews. They will send you a book of your choice for free and all you have to do is post a review about it. The following is for the book A Man of His Word by Kathleen Fuller.

A Man of His Word, written by Kathleen Fuller. This is the love story of Moriah Byler and Levi Miller. The book begins with Moriah preparing for the best day of her life, her wedding. She is in love with her childhood friend, Levi, while Levi’s twin brother Gabriel is in love with Moriah. The story quickly unfolds with a tale of lies and deception by Levi. Throughout the book there is yet a second story going on. The love story of another Amish couple, Tobias and Rachel. The book has it’s strong points, and it’s weak points. I liked how the author told about the community and made you really feel like you were in Middlefield, Ohio. The author used a lot of Amish words throughout the book, which I didn’t really care for, it broke the flow of reading as I had to look back and see what the words meant. The story itself was pretty predictable. Woman loves man, another man loves her, and there was lots of drama, with death and a birth. I would have liked there to be a book about Tobias and Rachel on their own, as there story line was pretty good. Overall I would recommend the book, and can’t wait to read another book by Kathleen Fuller.

4th of July

We went to Austin for the 4th of July this year. Who knew it would be the hottest 4th of July on record there! It was 104* with an even higher heat index. We went to Ikea, ate at some favorite restaurants that we haven't had in a long time. Chipotle, Five Guys, and the Saltlick. We always stay at the Embassy Suites, and this one had 2 swans in the center as well as giant goldfish. We told Micah he was not allowed to feed them or throw anything at them. As soon as this picture was taken he picked up a rock and threw it in anyway. Needless to say he got in a lot of trouble. For the Fireworks we went to Lady Bird Park and listened to the Austin Symphony Orchestra and watched some very pretty fireworks. I forgot my camera so no pictures! Micah didn't like the fireworks and hid behind his hands the entire time, Morgan was sleeping and would look every once in awhile, but didn't really care.

I had these taken awhile ago and am now just finally getting them hung up. I have a ton of them in wallet size and different poses if anyone wants them.

boo-boo's and M&M's

Morgan is learning to walk, and is getting around quite well. She fell the other day and hit the coffee table. I put Arnica cream on it, and the bruising went away pretty quickly. The pictures are from when it had just happened, and the other 2 pictures are of her eating the M&M's she discovered left behind by Micah, you can hardly see the bruise.

You can really see the bump in this picture, the next day it was pretty much gone, thanks to the cream!

Morgan went to the Doctor for her one year checkup and is currently 24.4 pounds and 301/2 inches tall.

Morgan Turns One

Morgan at 2 days old and Morgan at one year old~ time flies! For her birthday Mommy and Micah took Morgan to Build a Bear Workshop- and then to Chick-fil-a for lunch. We will post pictures of her birthday party later~

NEW YORK CITY

Ronnie and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary with a trip to New York City. We stayed at a great hotel called The Belvedere. We visited the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, and we went to a Yankees game, saw the Broadway play Wicked, we also got to be in the audience for a taping of David Letterman. We ate lots of great food- Ruth Chris's steakhouse, John's Pizza, Japanese steakhouse, and a really good bagel shop called Sticks ( I hadn't had a real bagel in 4 years!) Did all the things tourists do~ and we had a great time. We weren't allowed to take pictures during Wicked so I waited till the end and snapped a few, as well as David Letterman- no pictures of that either- though we saw Paula Abdul, and Neil Patrick Harris, and some singer, somebody Costello. Can't wait to go back! Next time with the kids so the girls can see a show and the boys can go to a game.

Morgan at the Water Park

Morgan loved the water-it was her first time at the pool, and she had no fear of the water. She was so tired at the end of it she was asleep before we got out of the parking lot.

After crawling on her knees she decided the bear crawl was best.

She kept going in over her head so we had to stand guard thus I didn't get pictures of the other kids.

This year they added Wiggle's World to the Theme park. All of the kid rides were Wiggle Themed.

BZZ Agent product review

The newest product that I tried is the Bic Soleil Bella Razor. It is 4 blades with a moisturizing strip. Very cute colors. The razor is thin and easy to handle. Best of all it didn't leave me feeling like I had razor burn like some blades do. The cost is 6$ for 3 blades, so I am not sure I would buy it unless I have a coupon for it.
