The snowball

Madeline wanted it to snow so bad while we were in Pa. One morning there was just enough on the cars that she got her snowball. She kept it in the freezer the whole time we were there. We never did get enough to cover the ground, but she was happy with her snowball.

MICAH

Micah has grown so fast, he will be 5 months old on the 11th. Tonight I will eat Duck!
Not sure what they were talking about, but all three seem to be having fun.
You may be bigger Mason, but I'm not the one wearing the silly hat.
A little bath time fun!

Pictures of all the cousins

While at my mom's house all the cousins got to know each other a little bit better. A trip to Walmart can be real fun with eight kids!

Christmas morning

Micah's first Christmas.
Maddy, Mackenzie and Mya open a special gift from Goppy.
Nana and Goppy with this years newest additions. Mason who is 11 months, Ryleigh who is 6 months and Micah who is 4 months.
Cousins Baileigh, Maddy, and Mackenzie share a bowl of popcorn.

Christmas this year was in Pa. at my parent's house. The three bedroom house had to hold 16 this year. My brother and his family from Illinois, my sister and her family from Pa, and our family, all totaled 8 kids under the age of 5. Needless to say it was a very loud and crazy place to be. Though we all enjoyed it very much.

Houston We Have a Problem

We have finally arrived home. We left my parents home on Wednesday night and stayed at a hotel across from the Buffalo airport. Our flight was to leave at 7:07 on Thursday morning. Now bare in mind that Mackenzie is extremely sick, Micah is sick and I am coming down with whatever germ they have. We got up at 4:30 to get every one ready. Went through all the security and boarded our plane at 6:45. We left Buffalo airport and landed in Cleveland with only enough time to get in line for the next flight. We boarded our plane and we sat on the plane for close to 2 hours, as there was a mechanical malfunction. We weren't allowed out of our seats so it was a lot of fun entertaining three kids who didn't understand why we weren't moving. On top of the two hour delay our flight is another 2 1/2 hours to fly from Cleveland to Houston. Our plane in Houston was leaving at 11:45 to take us home. Needless to say we missed our flight. We landed in Houston at 12:30 hoping that the other flight had been delayed, but no such luck. So we got to wait in line hoping that they could put us on the next flight out. We were given the run around and we were told we were put on the first flight out on Friday. You can only imagine how upset I was. The kids were sick and I was afraid I was going to run out of baby formula and diapers. We then tried to get on stand by on the next couple of flights out, but they only had one or two seats open each time. We waited till 7:00 p.m. that evening before giving up. We then went to the Continental desk where they said that because we missed our flight due to mechanical problems they would put us up in a hotel. They put us in the Hilton Inn and gave us vouchers for dinner and breakfast. We also got a little bag with toothbrushs etc. So we arrived at the Hotel and decided to go right to dinner. What a joke! The hotel only had one waitress and she was also in charge of room service so she would take an order and disappear for awhile. It ended up taking 2 hours to get our food and eat. Now its 9:30 and everyone is dirty, tired and very grumpy. I put Mackenzie in the tub and Ronnie says" You are never going to believe what is behind this chair." I went to look. There was a pair of men's dirty underwear sitting there! I am not making this up. So I called the front desk and they said Oh did you want a new room. Of course I did. So we got a new room and went to bed. Got up again very early and went to the airport for our flight home a day later than planned. We finally arrive in Mcallen, and went to get our luggage. The luggage comes and goes, ours in not there. We went and asked about it and the man said it had arrived Thursday, and they had locked it up for the night. So we go to retrieve it and naturally one was missing. This is an important one. It has all our bathroom toiletries in it, and my makeup which I have been without for way too long! We find out that is in Mexico! And we are hoping it arrives sometime today-Saturday. The trip was a crazy one, and I hope to never repeat it. We are home now and I will hopefully be able to put Christmas pictures up soon. Things are crazy after being gone for almost 2 weeks. We also went to the Doctors after getting home and Mackenzie has some new virus- a Herpes type 6. she also got a shot to cover her in case of strep throat. Both her and Micah are on medicine. ( we are assuming Micah has the same thing) So hopefully they get better soon.

The Year 2006

As I look back over the year 2006, I am amazed at how quickly the year has passed. We started the year with a major move across country, a new job, friends, Church, and a new son.
Mackenzie turned 3 this year and can not wait till she can go to school. She visits Madeline's class room everyday when we pick up Maddy, and the kids are very nice and always include her in their activities. She loves going to Cubbies on Wednesday nights.
Madeline turned 5 in August and started school. She loves K-5 and has started to learn to read. She also loves to go to Awana Sparks on Wednesdays. She has learned quite a few verses in both school and Awana.
Micah was born August 11th and is now 4 months old. He is a very easy going baby and always happy. His sisters love him and are very helpful with him.
Well that is in short what is going on with us. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

S-C-O-R-E

The girls received an early Christmas gift from Daddy. They absolutley love to play air hockey, and when we saw this one on sale we decided it would be a great gift. The girls are extremely competitive, and there is a lot of yelling, but they were so happy to get it.

All the kids at the Party

Christmas Party at Daddy's Work

Tonight we had a kids Christmas Party at Ron's office. The kids had pizza, cookies, and cake. Maddy who up until the party did not believe in Santa, and kept telling me "Mom, I know it's you and Daddy that give us the presents." Well after Santa walked in she quickly changed her mind. Madeline and friend Sabina have some cake. I think they had spilled something and were both looking down at the cake on the floor.
Hello Santa!
Madeline receives her gift from Santa. She was so nervous she just kept giggling.
Mackenzie sits on Santas lap to get her gift.

Christmas Concert

Before the concert Madeline shows off her new dress. Sorry this one didn't come out very well. The K-4 and K-5 class sang Jingle Bells and Away in the Manger. They did a great job!

After the concert we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Madeline tells Nana and Goppy all about the show.

Super Girl

It was a no T.V. afternoon today so the girls had to use their imagination and play in the toy room. My downstairs is trashed I think every toy they have is out. Mackenzie came upstairs and asked me to tie her cape so she could be Super Girl. I had to try very hard not to laugh at her- she gladly posed for pictures though.
Up, Up, and Away--I am Super Girl!

Beautiful

My Mom bought this outfit for Micah, I thought it was a little girly,(sorry mom) and when I put it on him Mackenzie said, "Wow he's beautiful!" I think that sums up the outfit.-- Nana it is cute- but I don't think Ron wants a "beautiful" boy.
Do I have to wear this?

The Kids

HI EVERYONE- We miss you!

Almost There

Micah has discovered he can almost roll over- not quite there, but soon!

The Bumboo Chair

A friend gave us the Bumboo Chair to borrow and Micah loved being able to sit up and watch T.V.
This chair is cool!

Hair Cut

Mackenzie hates having her hair combed so the best option for her is short. We found a cosmetology school that cuts hair for three dollars. Both girls got their hair cut- though Madeline wants hers short like Mackenzie, Mommy says no way.

First Bowl of Cereal

Micah had his first taste of Rice Cereal today. I think he liked it! Mackenzie wanted to help feed Micah- I think he will soon be to big for her to hold.

What is this stuff they are feeding me?

Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Hooray! Madeline and Mackenzie just found out that they are going to Nana's house for Christmas and went to "pack" their bags. Some how I don't think we will need sunglasses! Micah-- Getting so chubby! He weighs about 15 pounds now.
Sweet Sleep- Micah sleeps all night now- Hooray!
Mackenzie has an ear infection and needed some Daddy time.

Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all our family and friends! We miss you all!

Thank you

I would like to thank my wonderful family for a great birthday. The girls each gave me a candle that they picked out, and the best present of all is that we get to go home to Pa for Christmas! We had a nice dinner at the Red Lobster, and then came home and played card games. I love you guys!
