Teeth

Micah has been sick with Strep Throat the last few days and on top of that has gotten his first two teeth. He wouldn't cooperate with the camera, but the second picture if you look real close you can see the little white bumps.

Field Trip

More pictures of the class field trip to see Pinocchio.

Field Trip

Today Madeline's class went on their first field trip. We went and saw a production of Pinocchio by the American Family Theater. It was a packed auditorium, but the kids were all very good and had a great time. Afterward we took them to McDonalds for lunch.

All the kids except Mackenzie posed with Finnicky fox and Candlwyck, two of the characters from the play.

The Little Gym - Part One

Today Mackenzie had her gymnastics "Show Day". We are half way through the 18 week class, so the kids were able to show their family what they have learned so far.

Sleepy head

Since we had been at the zoo Micah didn't get his usually two naps. I put him on the floor to play and when I came back a few minutes later he was out. This was about 7:30 and he slept straight till 7:30 a.m.--- I think he needs to visit the zoo more often!

The Pool

The pool opened on Saturday, and so after visiting the zoo we took the girls to cool off. The weather was about 88 and sunny, but the water was cold. It didn't bother them though and they swam for over an hour.

The Zoo

On Saturday we went to the zoo in Brownsville. We packed a lunch and ate at the park. The girls took their left over bread and fed the ducks. This particular duck had no fear and had chased Mackenizie up on top of the picnic table trying to get her bread.
The pink Flamingos are the girls favorite birds to look at, and the Monkeys are their favorite animal to watch.

Sunset

After dinner we went for a walk around the block and to the swings. I tried to get the sunset, but it was already behind a house. You can get the general idea- it was a beautiful day, and by the redness of the sun will be a warm day tomorrow.

Micah was happy to be watching Duke basketball with Daddy, while the girls played tea.
My sister Kate and daughter Mya came to visit for a week. Here are a couple of pictures of the girls have fun playing together.

Peek-a-boo

Micah has a habit of getting caught in his blankets, and usually gets them stuck on his head. I tried to snap a picture of him under the blanket, but he started to get a little upset so I took it off. Peek-a-boo!

Cupcakes

I learned how to decorate cupcakes at a MOPS meeting today, and before we ate them I took a few photos. They are extremely easy to make and would be cute at any party. The candy combinations are a bit weird and they look better than they tasted. The bunny-- marshmallows cut in half dipped in sprinkles, m&ms , jellybeans, and more marshmallows.
the hamburger- vanilla cookies, choc. cookies, frosting, gum drops, another vanilla wafer, sprinkles.
the hot dog-- circus peanut, Carmel square, frosting, gumdrops. I tasted this one- Carmel and circus peanuts taste gross together!

Sweet Boy

Micah is a sweet boy. Hard to believe he is 6 months old. He started saying Da-Da, and is working on some teeth.
He is happy to be in Daddy's chair and he found the remote- he is getting an early start on hogging the remote control!

Lemonade

Madeline and Mackenzie have been begging for us to let them have a lemonade stand, so Daddy gave in today. The girls wanted to sell their lemonade for 5 dollars a glass, but I finally convinced them 5 cents would be better. It was about 95* today so it was the perfect day for it. Unfortunately the only "customers" were mommy and daddy.

Maddy was very sad that no one came to buy lemonade.
