Hanging Out

I finally put Micah on his horse, he is semi- afraid of it, and was a little nervous sitting on it. He would have probably staid on it a little longer, but Mackenzie knocked him off of it. Getting acquainted with his horse. This used to be Mackenzie's when she was 1 1/2. She still rides it, but we have given it to Micah.
Tonight we had movie night, the girls each were able to pick out a movie to watch with Daddy. And they requested popcorn to go with it. Micah did not want to be left out so he ate some fruit puffs.

Micah

Micah has had an ear infection and has not been his happy self, but I finally got him to smile for one picture. Finally standing up-- okay so I had to make him stand there, but he can do it, he's just not very motivated to be up and about. He has 3 ladies waiting on him all the time so he feels no need to walk!

Dressing up

The girls went to a birthday party on Friday at Claire's. They each got to have their make-up and nails done, and then they were able to purchase 5$ worth of stuff and got some free goodies too. They enjoyed it, but I would not recommend doing the nails again. They used real nail glue and it was horrible to get off, Mackenzie has one nail that she is going to lose because of being shut in a door, and the glue is pulling it out of the nail bed! It's going to be painful! Here Mackenzie is getting her "smokey eye"- that's what she likes to call eye shadow.

The nails- they were very pretty, but extremely long- they couldn't do any thing with them on.
The birthday party group- they wanted them to pose like Diva's-- I am pretty sure my girls had no idea what they were talking about.
Maddy's nails--she was happy to have nails like Nana's-- but they didn't last long.

Birthday Cake

Here's a picture of Ron's birthday cake my friend Larissa made. It was really neat, you could spin the wheel to see what Ron was older than.... dirt, the wheel, time, dinosaurs, the hills or you. It was delicious too!
We didn't have 31 candles, so I tried to write out the number with the candles instead.

Emergency room

First we need to wish Ronnie a Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am throwing a surprise dinner for him with 14 people but thought I would share our wonderful morning with you. I
jumped in the shower this morning while the kids were watching Peter Pan, and heard a blood curdling scream, so I grabbed a towel and ran to see what happened and the girls met me at my door with blood dripping everywhere, and they were both crying. Apparently Mackenzie wanted an apple and decided to use my new Pampered Chef apple slicer to cut her apple. She sliced part of her ring finger in the process. Since I couldn't get the bleeding to stop I threw everyone in to the car, they were still in Jammie's, and off we went to the ER. They were very fast and after lecturing Mackenzie about knives they glued her finger back together. Then one of the nurses went and got her an apple! She is supposed to keep it dry for 24 hours which is going to be hard to do so hopefully it heals together.

A Little Vacation

Ronnie took a few days off and we went to San Antonio for a little vacation. We left on Friday morning and since it only takes 4 hours to get there we always make it in time for lunch. Our first stop is always Chipotle! We love that place and wish they would build one here. Then we went to Sea World. It was so hot and humid. We saw a new show and did a few kiddie rides and then went and saw the Shamu show Believe again. This time since it was so hot we wanted to sit down front so we could get wet. Big mistake! Micah and I got soaked- it was cold and very salty. And naturally the clouds had rolled in and cooled everything off so we were cold and wet. It started to rain just as we were leaving. We decided to take the kids to see the new movie Ratatouille. It was very good, and Micah sat through most of it. He kept trying to crawl over me and go see the people behind us. He is a major flirt and put on a show where ever we went. On Saturday we hit the outlet mall and then went to Chuck E Cheese's, another place I would love to have down here. After some more shopping we stopped again at Chipotle before heading home.
This woman was standing so still and never opened her eyes, every once in a while she would change poses, it was really neat. Mackenzie would not go near her.

This picture is for Heather and Adrian- the food was great guys!!!!!!!!

Micah's fascination with.......

The Toilet! While I was upstairs on the computer, Mackenzie called me and said "Mom you gotta come see this", so I grabbed the camera. I found Micah in the bathroom lifting the lid up and down. Maybe he wants an early start at potty training! Heather- I don't think I will send him your way- I wouldn't want Caleb showing Micah his little trick! In case you haven't read Heather's blog- check it out.

Maddy

You never know what Maddy is going to do next. Today she came upstairs and told me she had a "surprise" for me- that usually means - I did something and you are not going to be happy. She said she made me a snack- she managed to find the skewer's (which were hiding) and load one up with grapes. Maddy's new bedding came this afternoon- I got this set on EBay for 20$ and its brand new!

New P.J.'s

Why do kids outgrow their pajama's so fast? Maddy never has any because she is always growing and poor Mackenzie gets all the hand-me downs. So while at the mall today we noticed Gymboree was having a sale ( I never go in there b/c of their prices), but we found these cute Jammie's for 6.99. Mackenzie said I never get any new clothes! S0 I felt bad and bought here some too.

Making a Mess

Nothing is safe from Micah, he loves to make a mess!
Oops, did I do that?

Exploring with Micah

I followed Micah around with the camera the last few days. He loves to go in the kitchen and the back hall area. Excuse the runny nose!
Here I come! Ready or not!
A good place to hide
What's under the rug?

Micah will go to the back door and try to look outside, and he yells Da-Da hoping he will be home soon.

Madeline's words of wisdom

Today as we were sitting at the stop light Madeline saw a man sitting in a wheelchair alongside of the road with a bucket. She asked me if he was selling money, and I said no he was wanting people to put money in his bucket because he didn't have any. She was real quiet for a minute and said that poor man, maybe if he has a lemonade stand or a yard sale he could make lots of money! She always makes me smile with the way she thinks and views life-- if only it were that simple!

On the Move

Finally, Micah is able to sit up by himself and has started to crawl. Yeah! He is still going to see the Therapist on Friday, but we are happy he has started to move on his own!

Now he can get into everything-I am not sure if Mackenzie is helping him or just getting in the picture.
Hhmmm.... that table looks like a nice place to start.....

Mackenzie's "new" room

Mackenzie's new room - I just need to put the curtains up and she is set. It's nice having all the toys in their own rooms!

Maddy's "new" room

We decided to move the girls into their own rooms. So yesterday I took apart all the beds and moved our old queen size bed into their old room and moved Mackenzie's bed into the old guest room, and took Maddy's old twin bed to the garage to be sold. It was a lot of work and we finally finished getting all the toys moved upstairs into their rooms today. The girls are enjoying it so far and we can't wait to get a piano to put in the "old" toy room. Here is what Maddy's new room looks like minus the comforter and curtains. I am bidding on a set on Ebay which is a purple with yellow sunflowers.

Friends from VBS

Mackenzie, Trista, Madeline, Shanae. The girls were all at my house for the afternoon. There was lots of yelling for the Red Team and the Blue Team. Unfortunately Shanae is a little outnumbered.
Madeline and friend Eunice.

Vacation Bible School

Our Vacation Bible School started this week. The theme being Rescue Heroes- Saved by God's Power. Last night they had a helicopter land at the Church. All the kids were able to have a turn sitting in the cockpit. Each night is a different hero, we have had police, the helicopter, and tonight is a fire truck. The kids are divided into either the red or blue team, so there is lots of competition.
